In the wheat value chain, SOUFFLET, is one of the biggest millers (9 mills), wheat flour exporters, and bakers (6 bakeries) in Europe. To sustain the rapid growth in new product development, SOUFFLET has invested in enzymes and ingredients production units.

Barley is the raw material for malt and beer production. In this barley value chain, SOUFFLET is the largest producer of malt in the world with 22 malting plants in Europe totalling 1.5 million tonnes of malt.

Throughout the last century, the company supported the growth in French agriculture right up to its current level of excellence. At the eve of the 21st century, SOUFFLET developed its operations in central & eastern Europe.

In Ukraine, Soufflet owns the largest malting plant in Europe, operates several silos from which it provides services and farm input procurement. This joint venture with Viterra, reinforces SOUFFLET's export strategy concentrating on grain export through the port elevator in Nikolaev.
